About Me

So, since you are here, let me tell you about myself!

Why did I start this blog?

I started this blog because I love to write and express my opinion.  It has always been easier for me to write/type my thoughts and feelings than to actually speak them aloud.  The reason for this is because I am very shy.  It takes me a very long time to open up to people.  Most of the friends that I have ever had either spoke to me first or I spoke to them first only because I felt that they were more shy than me.  People who have stuck around long enough for me to open up to, are able to see the talkative, playful, silly side of me.

Still here? Yes!…read on to learn how my husband and I met…

One person who stuck around long enough to see this side is my husband. We have known each other since I was 15 years old and he was 16 years old.  We met through my best friend, who he actually had a crush on at the time, as well as other girls that we knew.  She wanted me to meet him because she thought he was so funny.  I thought he was a nice guy and a cool person to talk to, but I did not find him as hilarious as she did.  Needless to say, my best friend and I fell out of touch with him after about 11th grade.  We always wondered how he was doing, but never heard from him.  I went through high school and college without hearing from him.  Until….the great invention that is Facebook.  Yes, Facebook is how I got back in touch with my close friend, which quickly became my boyfriend and now husband.  I sent him a message saying, “Hi, do you remember me?” and he said “Of course.”  He asked for my number and we have been inseparable ever since.  Sidenote: We both went to the same college at the same time, but different campuses.

Okay! Just a little bit more. I want to tell you about my current situation…

We married in 2010 and we now have two kids, my son that is 4 years old and my daughter that is 1 years old.  I have been a stay at home mom for about two and a half years.  Growing up, I always said that when I had children I wanted to be able to stay at home with them like my mom did with my siblings and I.  I am very glad that I actually have the opportunity to do so.  There are always good days with some challenging moments, but we get through them.  Those are some of the things that I plan to talk about in this blog.  My goal is to share with you what I have learned throughout the years and still learning, in my journey of being a woman, mom and wife. With this blog, I hope to meet others who have been/ are in a similar place and to just share with those who care to read what I have to say.
